
DO YOY KNOW that you can get Railcard or Gold Card discounts added to your TfL Oyster card or Apprentice Oyster
card or 18+ Student Oyster photocard at Tube, or London Overground and some National Rail stations?
When you add Railcard discount to your TfL Oyster card or Senior Railcard or 16-18 Railcard or
Gold Crad or Her Majesty's HM Forces Railcard or Disabled Persons Railcard, you will be rewarded with:
• 1/3 discount on peak and off-peak pay as you go railcard fares on all rail services in London
• 1/3 discount on peak and off-peak cap
• Discounted off-peak Day Travelcards
Remember you need to add the Railcard discount to your tlf Oyster card to get it.
When you travel on National Rail services in London using a TfL Oyster card or TfL contactless payment card
to pay as you go. This will give you the benfits to add a Travelcard to your TfL Oyster card.
Also, you can buy paper tickets for single journeys or Day Travelcards. The choice is yours as the amount you pay depends
on the route you use and how you pay on National Rail services.
Below rail fares chart shows Oyster pay as you go tariffs for journeys on National Rail/London Overground services.
Pay as you go is charged as follows:
• National Rail fares for journeys wholly on National Rail services
• Through fares for journeys which include both TfL and National Rail services
• Tube, DLR and London Overground fares for journeys entirely on any of the following National Rail lines:
- C2C: Grays to Fenchurch Street/Liverpool Street via Barking (but not at Forest Gate/Maryland)
- Chiltern Railways: Amersham to Marylebone, West Ruislip to Marylebone
- First Capital Connect: Finsbury Park to King's Cross/Moorgate, West Hampstead to Moorgate/Elephant & Castle/London Bridge
- First Great Western: West Drayton/Greenford to Paddington
- Greater Anglia: Stratford to Liverpool Street, Tottenham Hale/Seven Sisters to Stratford, Walthamstow Central/Tottenham Hale/Seven Sisters to Liverpool Street
- London Midland: Watford Junction to Euston
- Southern: Watford Junction to Clapham Junction, New Cross Gate to West Croydon/ Crystal Palace
Using pay as you go for Extension Fares for National Rail through Journeys
The extension fare will be charged as a National Rail through fare when:
• Any part of your journey is on a red route on the map
• And National Rail through fares apply for the journey you are making
• And you have a Travel card valid for any zonal combination in Zones 3-6
The extension fare will be charged as a Zone 1 TfL fare when:
• Any part of your journey is on a National Rail route (either red or green on the map)
• And National Rail through fares apply for the journey you are making
• And you are travelling into Zone 1
• And you have a Travel card which is valid for any of the following zonal combinations:
- Zones 2-3
- Zones 2-4
- Zones 2-5
- Zones 2-6
- Zones 2-7
- Zones 2-9
